The 27th Soirée Beaujolais in Manila Celebrates Philippine-French Relations

Le beaujolais est arrivé!

Every third Thursday of November, a grand tradition is celebrated simultaneously around the world; the welcoming of a French wine harvest... the Beaujolais Nouveau.

In France, the produce from the first yield would be poured out as a reward for those who helped in the harvest.  French communities all over the globe celebrate this harvest fest, making it the world's biggest wine event.  This wine of varying fruity aromas is meant only to be enjoyed not swirled, sniffed and rated as one would do to red wines aged in oak barrels.

Isabelle Nilo President of CCI France Philippines reveals the importance of Philippine-French relations during the recently held presscon at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza.

The French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Philippines (CCI France Philippines) is once again at the forefront of among Metro Manille's wine celebrations, which gathers over one thousand guests from the Franco-Filipino community. The festivities is also attended by the biggest business and social circles in the country.

Sponsors of the event gather to make a toast for the upcoming 27th Soirée Beaujolais 2017 festivities.

This 27th edition of Soirée Beaujolais will take center stage on the 24th of November at the Harbor Garden Tent of the Sofitel Philippine Plaza. For this year's theme, CCI France Philippines invites its guests to La Vie Sous Les Projecteurs, (life under the spotlight) as it celebrates 70 years of Philippine-French relations, and the 70th year of the Cannes Film Festival.

The Harbor Garden Tent will be transformed to mimic Palais des Festival et des Congrés where guests will be welcomed by a swarm of paparazzi as they parade in their 1950's French glamour outfits.

Surprise entertainment numbers and all out after party with Marz Miranda at the DJ’s booth will continue to rock the merry-makers. Everyone will enjoy free flowing wine, cheese and chatecurie all imported from France. French dishes by the premier French hotel in the country, Sofitel Philippine Plaza will also be served.

Through its wine sponsor Le Cellier French Wines, over a thousand liters of the best wines imported from the Fleurie, Brouilly and Macon Villages in France will be served throughout the evening.
